Very excited about the future of the songs I’ve been recording lately. Now that I’ve done a solid set of mpc-based beats, I want to focus more on incorporating synth and guitar playing even further. Possibly more vocal experimentation. Oh, and the chops won’t stop. Just want to go back to some more ambient/melodic type stuff for a while. We’ll see what happens.

Had a good time watching the dictator tonight, funny stuff. Was also a pleasant surprise to see Jon Glaser in one of the scenes haha.

My mom is finally home, I’m so glad she is feeling better.

It is beyond me how complex the mind can be.. how easy it is too offset the way we perceive reality, the way we act and react towards others. Usually it takes a drastic blow to our daily routine to realize that the people who have been there from day one, will not always be there for you. Many of the things we are comfortable with are being taken advantage of. The people you’ve looked up to for so long, are just as susceptible to flaws, illness and death as the rest of the world. The fragility of us. The world is an entirely different place from one perspective to the other. Ideas and cultures that bind us together sometimes manage to be overlooked when there is conflict of personal interests.. Driven by primal urges. These have been long nights of racing thoughts and mixed emotions. I can’t help but think of these lyrics that sort of capture some things I have been feeling as of lately:

“Falling through a field
The dandelion grave
I will lay here, forever and ever
Sunlight makes us feel
And people go away
And I will lay here, forever and ever”
